Toothbrush
Brushing daily is one of the most important ways in which you can help your child keep their mouth healthy. You should purchase a brush with soft bristles, and teach your child to brush firmly but without excessive pressure. Electric toothbrushes are also an excellent choice. We recommend that you choose an ADA-approved brush to ensure a quality product.

Dental Floss
You should floss daily. You can choose from traditional floss or floss holders, and may want to consider using a floss threader if your child is wearing braces. Our favorite types of dental floss include:

Toothpaste
There are many toothpaste options. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends using a very small amount of fluoridated toothpaste up until age 3. After that age, use a pea-sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste. We recommend that you choose an ADA-approved brand of toothpaste. Our favorite brands of toothpaste include:

Fluoride rinses help prevent cavities before they can start, and in some cases can prevent existing cavities from getting bigger. Make sure that your child can fully spit out the rinse and toothpaste. Our recommended brands of rinses are:
