What do Baby Teeth Do?

Posted .

Baby teeth, despite what you may believe, are very important to the health of an individual, both when they are a child and as they grow into an adult. What have you heard of about baby teeth? Learn a tiny bit more by reading this post we’ve amassed, and do all you can to help your child to keep their teeth clean by brushing them twice daily and by flossing once per day.

In Europe, they’re commonly defined as milk teeth. In Asia, they’re occasionally called fall teeth. In the U.S., we call them deciduous teeth, primary teeth, temporary teeth and (most commonly) baby teeth. Baby teeth are the first chompers in the onset of humans and some other mammals. They develop as tooth buds in the embryo, then grow from the jaw through the gums during the first year of life. Baby teeth have an imperative role in the onset of your child’s permanent teeth, since the adult teeth will not come in correctly if the baby teeth have been lost too early.
